Harpers Magazine Editor Lewis Lapham joins us to discuss the possibility of War with Iraq, the Bush administration and take your calls.

Is the U.S. telling the truth about its dealing in the Middle East? Do we have a clear platform based on understandable values and beliefs that shore up our policy approaches? Can we get a glimmer of what is unfolding for the U.S. in the post cold war, 21st century world? In Theater of War, a collection of Harper's Editor Lewis Laphams magazine columns, the threads of Roman Empire, Greek hubris and religious zeal are spun into the curtains hanging at the emerald city--- in front of the blustering image of the Wizard of Oz.. Pay no attention to the man behoind the curtain.

Lapham has won a national magazine award for his essay writing. he has written Waiting for the Barbarians, Imperial Masquerade, Money and Class in America. Theater of War is his latest.
